We’re thrilled that Pitch Your Peers Teen was featured in The East Hampton Star for our summer internship program with Share the Harvest Farm and the Springs Food Pantry.
Each Tuesday, our teens harvest fresh vegetables at the farm, then help wash, prepare and package the produce for the pantry’s summer lunch program. The goal is not only to provide local children with fresh, nutritious food, but also to give our teens a hands-on understanding of community service—from the farm field all the way to a neighbor’s table.
We truly believe that when young people step outside their everyday lives, get their hands dirty and see the direct impact of their work, giving back becomes both powerful and transformative.
